NASHVILLE, Tenn. – Project Transformation Tennessee, a Nashville-based nonprofit organization providing leadership training for young adults and literacy programs for children and youth, announces four new members joining its Board of Directors in 2015:
Board members serve three-year terms. As overseers of Project Transformation Tennessee, the 14-member board helps to develop and implement the organization’s strategic plan and advance its mission of engaging young adults in purposeful leadership and ministry; supporting underserved children and families; and connecting churches to communities in need.
This year, Project Transformation will hire 46 college-age interns for summer and year-long internships based in Nashville and Murfreesboro where, with the assistance of 800 community volunteers, they will serve 450 underserved children and youth in low-income neighborhoods. The interns participate in leadership development and ministry exploration while working with churches to provide community-oriented programs focused on literacy development.
