Volunteer Opportunities

There are numerous ways to connect and get involved with Project Transformation Central Texas!

Our program for elementary school children operates at three site churches in the Fort Worth area, Monday – Thursday, during the months of June and July. This day camp requires hundreds of volunteers to operate! You can get involved in the following ways:

Read One-to-one with children (Monday – Thursday, 10am – 12:00pm) – must be 13 years or older to be a reading volunteer.  Anyone aged 18 and older must be approved through their home church’s MinistrySafe (or similar) policy to work with children, or pass a background and take an online child abuse prevention training class.

Bring dinner to interns (Sunday – Thursday evenings) Volunteers are needed to provide dinner to our young adult interns living in community on the Texas Wesleyan campus.

Donate Supplies (ongoing) Check out our wish list!

Help organize our reading libraries Work with our volunteer library coordinator to sort, code, and organize donated books.

Organize End of Summer Celebrations Help plan a block-party style event for children, families, interns, volunteers, partner churches and staff to celebrate a successful summer of fun and learning.

Pray with Project Transformation Central Texas! We invite you to join us in surrounding our children, interns, families, churches, and volunteers in prayer.

The opportunities to get involved are limited only by your interests! Please email us at projecttransformation@ctcumc.org to get connected.
