Elementary Program

Project Transformation’s summer day camp programs for elementary students focus on enriching the mind, body, and spirit. We place a unique focus on improving literacy and social-emotional development. Project Transformation operates eight-week summer day camps for children entering grades K-6. Each day, children read one-to-one with community volunteers and participate in activity-based literacy intervention. Children also participate in daily enrichment activities including recreational play and exercise and creative arts.  The program is designed around building mutual relationships in a safe and brave space, where each person is valued and can be and become their most authentic self. We do provide nutritious lunches and an afternoon snack each day.

Our summer camps run from 9am to 3pm, Mondays thru Thursdays, during the months of June and July.  We do observe Juneteenth and Independence Day holidays. In 2024, camps will begin on Tuesday, June 4th, and end on Thursday, July 25th.

Our camps are located in Fort Worth at New Riverside United Methodist Church and McMillan United Methodist Church, in Bedford at W.C. Martin United Methodist Church

The registration fee (for the entire 8-week camp) is $20 per child, with a maximum of $50 per family.  The fee is due on the first day of camp.  We can accept cash, checks and credit cards.

Please click here to register your child(ren) for camp.  Make sure you select Central Texas (Tarrant County) as your Chapter.  You will be able to register multiple children in the same household on one form.
