Project Transformation Indiana began organizing in 2016 and after many prayers and conversations, as well as visits to the Tennessee and North Texas programs, the dream of bringing the program to the Indiana Conference began to take shape.

Beginning in January 2017, a small group of dedicated individuals worked together to guide start-up efforts and lay the groundwork for replicating the ministry of Project Transformation in Indiana. Following a kickoff meeting in August 2017 which brought over 30 clergy and community leaders together, a Launch Team was created to further the start-up process and establish foundational support and partnerships with United Methodist Churches in the Indiana Conference.

With support from Project Transformation National and many partnering churches and organizations, the Indiana Chapter launched programming in the Summer of 2018 hiring 15 college interns to provide programming for over 100 children at 2 host church locations in the greater Indianapolis area.

The vision is to expand Project Transformation Indiana throughout Indianapolis and one day to other parts of the state in the coming years.
