Project Transformation provides two key services:

  1. Leadership development and vocational exploration opportunities for college-age young adults through summer service internships.
  2. Summer programs for children from under-resourced neighborhoods.

Our young adult interns provide this summer program, giving them authentic, hands-on experiences leading high-quality, structured programs for children and, equally as important, learning from the children in the program.

Our programs are strategically hosted by churches in under-resourced neighborhoods. This partnership between the host churches and Project Transformation is designed so that churches can make new connections and form meaningful relationships of mutuality with families in their immediate neighborhood.

The lasting impact of our programs comes through the strong relationships that are built between the children and youth participants and our college interns.

Our college interns serve as positive role models in their lives and take an interest in the holistic growth and development of each child. Our goal is for our participants to graduate high school, hopefully, go to college, and then return to serve as interns with Project Transformation. As children grow up in our program and return with a commitment to influence their communities, the multiplying effects of Project Transformation will occur.
