Whether you&#8217;re a seasoned educator or someone who loves working with kids, we have a place for you.<\/span><\/h4>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"list-style-type: none\">\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Reading Buddies<\/strong> provide one-on-one reading support to children in grades 1\u20136. No prior experience is required \u2014 just a willingness to connect, encourage, and help foster a lifelong love of reading. All books and materials are provided. Volunteers can sign up for a single day or multiple days.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Reading Testing Volunteers<\/strong> <span data-olk-copy-source=\"MessageBody\">help assess children\u2019s reading progress at the beginning and end of the summer. We\u2019re especially looking for current or retired educators to assist with simple running records and surveys. Your support helps us measure the real impact of our reading program and ensures every child gets the support they need.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;padding-left: 40px\"><strong>Requirements for Reading Volunteers:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"list-style-type: none\">\n<ul style=\"font-weight: 400\">\n<li>\n<div data-olk-copy-source=\"MessageBody\">Volunteers 18+ must complete a background check.<\/div>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<div>High school volunteers (15+ years old or those who\u2019ve completed their freshman year) can volunteer independently.<\/div>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<div>Volunteers under 15 must serve with a parent or guardian.<\/div>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<div>A one-time online training is required before your first volunteer session.<\/div>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 40px\"><span data-olk-copy-source=\"MessageBody\">Whether you volunteer for a day or the entire summer, your time and energy will make a meaningful difference. After a long day of serving children and churches, they truly appreciate this time of support and encouragement.
