Project Transformation’s afterschool and summer programs for elementary students focus on enriching the mind, body, and spirit, with an emphasis on literacy and social-emotional health.
Project Transformation operates eight-week summer day camp programs serving children in neighborhoods throughout Tennessee in Davidson, Montgomery, Rutherford, and Shelby counties. Each day, children read one-on-one with community volunteers and participate in activity-based literacy intervention. Children also participate in daily enrichment activities including recreational play and exercise, creative arts, and interaction with our young adult interns and community volunteers, who provide encouragement each day.
Project Transformation’s afterschool program serves children in two Nashville neighborhoods: Antioch, and Madison. Children participate in daily enrichment activities including homework help, art, science and math exploration, healthy decision-making, and nutrition education. Activities are geared toward each child’s opportunity for growth, while building a love for reading and desire to be life-long learners.
