2020-21 Afterschool Program Registration Open!
At Project Transformation, we are excited to continue to learn and grow together this school year, even if it looks a little different! Due to the COVID-19 public health crisis, we will not return to in-person afterschool program immediately. Instead, we invite students in grades K-8 to join us for our virtual afterschool program, beginning on August 31.
Program components include:
- Homework Hub! (virtual homework help) will be offered to students from 3pm to 4pm, Monday through Thursday. Here, your child will be greeted online by a caring adult, who will assist them with homework assignments and engage them in targeted reading activities. Families who have scheduling conflicts may request alternative times for virtual homework help.
- Club Hub! (virtual clubs for kids)– Interested in computers and technology? We have a club for that. How about art and dance? We have a club for that! Do you love playing games or working with a team to solve a puzzle? We have a club for that too! Project Transformation is pleased to offer six unique online experiences for students to explore their interests, build relationships with their peers, and grow in leadership. Clubs are offered twice per week from 4:00-5pm each day and students may sign-up based on their interest. Monday/Wednesday: 1) Computer & Technology 2) Creative Writing 3) Drawing & Art. Tuesday/Thursday: 1) Virtual Field Trips 2) Games & Challenges 3) Yoga & Dance
- Family Fun Nights! (Family Dinner and Learning Supplies) – Once a month, 5:30-6:30pm, pick up dinner for your family and fun supplies for kids at your closest neighborhood church (Antioch United Methodist Church, Trinity Community Commons, or Matthews Memorial United Methodist Church). Each family meal will include six delicious and nutritious servings. And each supply kit will be filled with books, fun activities, art supplies, snacks, and more! Be on the lookout for a special theme each month – Outer Space, Ocean Fun…many more!
