Community Directors will also support local chapter recruitment efforts by building relationships with local Wesley groups, colleges and universities, and young adult groups with local churches.<\/strong> <strong>Essential Responsibilities<\/strong><\/p>\r\n<ol>\r\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Instill a nurturing, supportive environment for vocational discernment in the Young Adult Intentional Community by offering pastoral support and encouragement and engaging young adults in meaningful reflection as they experience the joys and challenges of student life.<\/span><\/li>\r\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Cultivate intentional Christ-centered community, by modeling servant leadership, prioritizing inclusiveness, and offering space for young adults to connect with each other.<\/span><\/li>\r\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Create space for spiritual growth and development through a dynamic small group for 10-12 students with conversation, worship, incorporating diverse styles and experiences, service projects, and Friday Experience\/vocational discernment opportunities in local ministry or nonprofit settings, engaging young adults in leadership, and inviting all to encounter God in new ways.\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\r\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Build and model a culture of hospitality and gratitude.<\/span><\/li>\r\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Assist local chapter staff as needed with recruitment at colleges and universities and local churches.<\/span><\/li>\r\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Help PT National staff plan 3-day mid-winter vocational discernment for 40 college students.<\/span><\/li>\r\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Work collaboratively with the other Community Directors and PT staff.\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\r\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Attend in person training and 9 monthly cohort video calls with PT National staff for reflection and continuing education.<\/span><\/li>\r\n<\/ol>\r\n<p>If you have questions about this role&#8217;s responsibilites, please reach out to Ellie Crain at <a href=\"mailto:crain@pttennessee.org\">crain@pttennessee.org\u00a0<\/a><\/p>\r\n<h4>Qualifications<\/h4>\r\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Competitive applicants:<\/span><\/p>\r\n<ul>\r\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">are undergraduates, graduates, and\/or seminarians who possess skills for ministry with college-age young adults<\/span><\/li>\r\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">are highly motivated self-starters (ex. takes initiative, works to set and achieve personal goals and reevaluate personal goals as needed)<\/span><\/li>\r\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">display strong interpersonal and communication skills<\/span><\/li>\r\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">are open-minded<\/span><\/li>\r\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">have a desire to love and serve others\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\r\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">and are dedicated to living in community with others in a structured environment<\/span><\/li>\r\n<\/ul>\r\n<p><span style=\"text-decoration: underline\">Highly<\/span> competitive applicants have theological training.<\/p>\r\n<h4>Details<\/h4>\r\n<p>Job Type: up to 30 hours per week.<\/p>\r\n<p>Location: Nashville, TN.
