Lawson will work closely with the board of directors through the transition to ensure that the organization maintains its momentum of investing in the potential of young people. A national search for a new leader will begin in January, led by Thinking Ahead, Inc., an executive search firm.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt has been the honor of my life to shepherd God\u2019s vision for Project Transformation Tennessee to this point,\u201d says Lawson. \u201cI am grateful to the PT community for sharpened skills, relationships formed, and impacts celebrated. Indeed, I too have been transformed.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Lawson joined Project Transformation Tennessee in 2011 as founding Executive Director. Since that time, the organization has supported more than 4,500 children in out-of-school programs and engaged more than 400 college-age young adults in summer and year-round internships. During her tenure, Lawson expanded Project Transformation\u2019s signature summer program to four counties across the state.
