Serve and Pray with Project Transformation this Summer!

While we will miss being in person this summer, there are several ways to support Project Transformation this summer. Below are a few ways the PT network invites you to support children, families, and young adults this summer:

  • Create “summer camps in a bag” to be distributed to children each at our Project Transformation host churches. Now more than ever, children need resources to nurture their mind, body, and spirit while they are out of school and at home during this public health emergency. Complementing these supply bags will be virtual literacy and social-emotional activities created by Project Transformation for our students to access online throughout the summer.
  • Serve as a Pen Pal with a Project Transformation student this summer. Each Pen Pal will be paired with a registered elementary student, writing back and forth as the summer allows. This is a great opportunity to help our students grow in their literacy and writing skills from home! Letters will be mailed to a Project Transformation chapter office where they will be reviewed and sent to the connected Pen Pal.
  • Volunteer to distribute meals and supplies at our host churches this summer. Each day, Project Transformation will distribute a grab-and-go meal, as well as program supplies to students in our program. A few in-person volunteers are needed to sanitize, organize, and distribute supplies. Local health guidelines will be followed. Volunteers must sign a health statement and waiver prior to volunteering. Volunteer shifts are typically 10am-2pm, Monday-Thursday.
  • Pray with Project Transformation, whether or not you are able to serve diretly with us. We invite you to join us in surrounding our children, young adults, staff, and churches with prayer. Follow our 8-week Prayer Guide to pray for God’s transformative power to move this summer.
