This impact role focuses<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">on cultivating relationships within the community, including individuals, businesses,<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">organizations, foundations, and government agencies while developing and implementing<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">strategies to secure funding to support both fund development and capacity-building goals.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">In close collaboration with the Executive Director and Board of Directors, the Director of<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">Development will contribute to donor relations, fiscal management, and strategic planning<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">of Project Transformation DC. This position requires a creative, strategic thinker<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">with strong analytical skills, a successful background in nonprofit fundraising, and a proven<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">track record in grant writing, relationship building, and project management.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">Reports To: Executive Director<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">Employment Classification: Salaried, Exempt<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">Work Hours: 20-30 hours a week, work week typically is Monday \u2013 Friday with occasional<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">evening and weekend events\/meetings and some travel.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><b>PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:<\/b> This position requires daily, weekly, and monthly<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">responsibilities that must be completed on time.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><b>Fundraising<\/b><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">&#8211; Work with the Board to develop and implement an effective funds development plan<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">that meets the organization\u2019s financial needs and incorporates a range of strategies<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">including annual appeals, major donors, corporate and individual solicitations, and<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">special events.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">&#8211; Assist the Executive Director and Board with donor relations and program<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">execution.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">&#8211; Oversee all fundraising events, providing event strategies.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">&#8211; Represent the organization at meetings, conferences, and events to enhance<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">visibility and foster partnerships.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">&#8211; Ensure all fundraising and contributed revenue management plans, policies, and<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">procedures are well-documented, current, and understood by all staff.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><b>Grant Management<\/b><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">&#8211; Oversee the grant management program, monitoring all contracts for compliance<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">and impact.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">&#8211; Develop and execute a comprehensive grant-seeking strategy aligned with the<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">organization\u2019s goals and objectives, including grant opportunities from foundations,<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">corporations, and government sources.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">&#8211; Cultivate relationships with and steward all grantmaking entities.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">&#8211; Work with the Development Manager to create and manage the annual grant<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">calendar to ensure timely submission of proposals and reports.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">&#8211; Collaborate with program staff to gather relevant information and ensure proposals<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">accurately reflect programmatic needs and impact.<\/p>\n<ul class=\"ul1\">\n<li class=\"li1\">Ensure proposals meet the funders\u2019 guidelines and deadlines.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p class=\"p1\"><b>Financial Management<\/b><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">&#8211; Monitor, evaluate, and report on all fundraising activities to ensure the fundraising<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">goals are achieved.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">&#8211; Develop and monitor the implementation of long-range revenue goals in<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">conjunction with the Executive Director and Board of Directors, including setting<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">targets for organizational growth<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">&#8211; In alignment with the organization\u2019s strategic plan, responsible for preparing annual<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">revenue budget, monitoring fundraising goals to budget, financial forecasting, and<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">cash flow.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">&#8211; Work with the bookkeeper to reconcile revenue and pledge receivables, and prepare<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">&#8211; Provide support to the Board of Directors\u2019 Finance Committee by providing revenue<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">forecasting and trends as well as gift acceptance best practices<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">&#8211; Work with annual auditors on revenue portions of the audit and ensure compliance<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">with accounting best-practice standards<\/p>\n<ul class=\"ul1\">\n<li class=\"li1\">Initiate and oversee grant reconciliation for financial and contract compliance.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p class=\"p1\"><b>EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND JOB REQUIREMENTS:<\/b><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">&#8211; Bachelor\u2019s Degree plus relevant experience in development or related field.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">&#8211; Strong interpersonal, telephone, written, and presentation skills including public<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">speaking.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">&#8211; Ability to represent Project Transformation\u2019s mission and programs to donors and<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">volunteers; poised and comfortable in relating to a variety of people in multiple<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">settings.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">&#8211; Skilled at relationship building.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">&#8211; Problem solver, self-starter who is well organized, methodical, and detail oriented.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">&#8211; Ability to establish priorities, work independently, manage multiple projects, and<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">proceed with objectives without supervision.<\/p>\n<p>-Proficient at Salesforce and Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, and Outlook.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">&#8211;
