This event will feature, guest speaker Gloria Amescua, impact statements from people directly impacted through PT Rio Texas, great food, a silent auction, and an excellent opportunity to hear about the extraordinary work PT Rio Texas is doing.
About Guest Speaker Gloria Amescua
Gloria Amescua has been a writer since she was a child. A native Austinite, she is an educator, poet and children’s book writer. Her lyrical picture book biography, Child of the Flower-Song People: Luz Jiménez, Daughter of the Nahua received a Pura Belpré Author Honor Award, International Latino Book Awards, and was named co-winner of the Américas Award.
