Project Transformation Tennessee today announced the selection of Renee Dillard as the Director of Memphis Programs. Dillard will become the first Director of Memphis Programs on March 6, 2017. Previously, Dillard served as a pastor at St. John’s United Methodist Church in Memphis.

“As a lifelong Memphian, my deepest hope is to facilitate healing and wholeness in this city that I love. Project Transformation offers a beautiful model for drawing on the strengths already present in our communities, for coming alongside children, young adults, and congregations to strengthen relationships and foster growth,” says Dillard.

Dillard brings extensive leadership experience in ministry and community engagement. Dillard is an Ordained Deacon with the Memphis Annual Conference of the United Methodist Church. She is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, having worked for many years in behavioral health and hospice care before entering pastoral ministry.

“We are thrilled for Renee to join Project Transformation,” said Project Transformation Executive Director Courtney Aldrich. “She brings passion for our Memphis community and a strong track record of visionary leadership.”

Dilliard first engaged with Project Transformation as a volunteer during its inaugural year of programming in Memphis in 2016. When the opportunity arose to serve as Director of Memphis Programs, Dillard says she immediately felt God’s call to “help deepen the beautiful connections and impact already begun in Memphis.”

As Dillard leads the second year of Project Transformation in Memphis, she will be joined by newly appointed co-chairs of Memphis Advisory Council, the Rev. Cynthia Davis and Lynn McAlilly.

“I give thanks for how God opened the way for this next step in my vocational life. I could not be more grateful, hopeful, and excited,” said Dillard.
