Project Transformation Tennessee Announces 2024 Board of Directors

Nashville, Tennessee (January 23, 2024) – Project Transformation Tennessee announces the 2024 board of directors, welcoming two new board members and a new slate of officers.

The 2024 board officers are: Haley Smith, Chair; Emily Dougherty, Vice Chair; Zach Moffatt, Secretary/Governance Chair; Drew Lamb, Treasurer

The 2024 new members are:

Robyn Brumblay was born and raised in middle Tennessee. She obtained her Bachelor of Science in Education degree from Austin Peay State University in 1992, her Master of Education in Curriculum and Instruction from Trevecca Nazarene University, and she retired with 30 years of teaching in the Clarksville-Montgomery County School System. She married her husband Norm in 1998 and they have 2 young adult children. She is an active member of Hilldale United Methodist Church in Clarksville TN, and it was through Hilldale UMC that she learned about Project Transformation and found her passion volunteering during the summer program. She has since become the chairperson of the PT Clarksville Advisory Council. In her spare time, she likes to read, travel and cheer on the University of Tennessee where her daughter attends.

Julie Hendrick has served as a school psychologist in the Memphis area since 2002. She completed her undergraduate degree in psychology at Rhodes College and attained M.A. and Ed.S. degrees in school psychology from the University of Alabama. She has been married to her college sweetheart, William, for 21 years, and they have 2 boys- Will (15) and Frank (almost 13). She is an active member of Covenant United Methodist Church, where she has regularly volunteered in children’s and youth ministry. She first became connected with PT by serving as her church contact for the Memphis program, and she fell in love immediately because it combines some of her biggest passions- kids, education, and outreach.

They join returning board members Sammy Ballesteros, Star Brumfield, Steve Flora, Jefferson Furtado, Reigen Lemelle-Tuggle, Patrick McAnally, Scott Medsker, John Seehorn, Melissa Seehorn, Deborah Smith, Ronda Spivey, Carlos Uroza, and Ellen Zinkiewicz. Ex-officio members are Gary Hawkins, Janie Luna, Lynn McAlilly, Jeff Rice, and Vona Wilson.
