Young adults who serve internships with Project Transformation have even more reason to consider studying at Wesley Theological Seminary, thanks to a new partnership between Project Transformation National and Wesley Theological Seminary.

The agreement will provide additional scholarship opportunities and early admission consideration to Project Transformation alumni. There are approximately 400 young adults serving with Project Transformation annually, the vast majority of whom stay actively involved in ministry and service following their internship.
“At Wesley, we appreciate how Project Transformation develops spiritual and emotional maturity, practical community ministry experience, and a focus on justice in all who serve,” says Beth Ludlum, Wesley’s Vice President for Strategic Initiatives. “Through this partnership, we seek to support Project Transformation’s good work in communities around the country and to equip Project Transformation alumni to strengthen their leadership in the church and the world.”
This agreement also strengthens the relationship between Wesley and Project Transformation by encouraging Wesley students to serve as Project Transformation “house pastors,” gaining hands-on college ministry experience and possibly earning credit for their experience. In addition, Wesley will work with Project Transformation National to provide coaching, mentorship and other resources to house pastors.
“Several Project Transformation alumni have enrolled at Wesley over the years,” says Eric Lindh, CEO of Project Transformation National. “One of these alumni, Rachel Luna, even established a new DC chapter of Project Transformation, which grew out of a class project while earning her Master of Theological Studies at Wesley! We are eager to deepen this relationship and encourage our growing alumni network to consider seminary study at Wesley as their next step in continuing to discern God’s call on their lives.”
