Rev. Dr. Edgar Bazan is an Elder in the North Texas Annual Conference of the United Methodist Church. He grew up in Mexico (Monterrey) and moved to Dallas in 2004 with his wife, Dr. Evelyn Garza, to serve in the United Methodist Church as a pastor. Currently, he is the Senior Pastor at New World UMC in Garland, TX. His previous appointments include Casa Linda UMC, Oak Cliff UMC, and Tyler Street UMC. He serves at the Board of Ordained Ministry, the District Committee on Ordained Ministry, the Center for Church Development, the Congregational Assessment, Response, and Transformation (CART), and as an alternate delegate to General and Jurisdictional Conferences. Edgar also teaches Licensing School for Local Pastors and the Course of Study (COSS) at Perkins School of Theology at SMU, and serves as a mentor pastor in the Perkins Center for Preaching Excellence.

Rev. Dr. Michael Bowie, Jr. is the National Executive Director of the United Methodist National Plan Strengthening the Black Church for the 21st Century. In this role, Dr. Bowie utilizes more than 20 years of experience as a United Methodist Elder to offer strategic, transformative leadership to clergy and laity that will strengthen black congregations. Previously, he served as pastor of St. Luke “Community” UMC in Dallas, Love UMC in Houston, TX, Ginghamsburg UMC in Tipp City, OH, and Stonybrook UMC in Gahanna, OH. His two children both served as interns with Project Transformation in North Texas.

I truly believe that the Vision, Mission, and Values of Project Transformation will be the catalyst that will ignite hope within children, college students, and the local church.”
Larry Randolph is a lifetime learner and passionate about helping others realize their potential. He first served at Project Transformation as an intern in 2009 and continued serving until 2016 as a Program Manager. He recognized his talent for understanding data structures and complex business processes and how they affect the efficiency of an organization. This led him to working as a Salesforce Administrator at Verizon and eventually as the sole systems administrator at Gamut Media. Larry continued his love for the community by volunteering at Goodwill, helping adults obtain their Salesforce certification.

What Project Transformation is about is not simply teaching a kid how to pronounce a word – Project Transformation is about giving young people the instruments needed so that they can be the best person they can be. I am honored to be a part of an organization that helps give children and young adults the confidence needed to speak up, the support needed to take on challenges they face, and an understanding that they can achieve anything they put their mind to.”
