Serving as a young adult with Project Transformation may help clarify a call to pursue ministry, and offer a financial pathway to get there!

Through national partnerships with the following schools of theology, Project Transformation alumni have exclusive access to special scholarships and early admission decision consideration.

Brite Divinity School

  • Brite will work with prospects associated with PT to complete applications in September in order to be considered early for the spring semester (last date, November 13) and to complete applications by February in order to be considered early for the fall semester (last date, June 30).
  • With all persons accepted into Brite receiving full tuition and free support, PT alumni are encouraged to apply for special merit-based awards.

Candler School of Theology

  • Priority admission decisions for all PT alumni (applications are due by January 15 for entry for the following fall; decisions released by February 15).
  • Special merit-based awards covering half-tuition to PT alumni who apply by the priority admission deadline and are admitted to the Master of Divinity program and who, in addition to meeting the minimum criteria for admission eligibility, have a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher and a chapter recommendation; consider PT alumni who apply by the priority admissions deadline and are admitted to the Master of Divinity program and who, in addition to meeting the minimum criteria for admission eligibility, have a cumulative GPA of 3.75 and higher and a chapter recommendation for honors scholarships.

Duke Divinity School

  • Early admission decisions for all PT alumni (applications are due November 1 for the following fall entry; decisions made by December 15).
  • Special merit-based awards covering 50% of tuition or greater with 3.0 undergraduate GPA or higher and a PT chapter recommendation; and provide special consideration of 100% tuition scholarships for PT alumni who have an undergraduate GPA of 3.5 and above and a PT chapter recommendation.

Garrett-Evangelical Theological Seminary

  • Provide priority consideration for scholarships for all PT alumni who apply before November 1 (decisions made by December 1).
  • Consider all PT alumni for special merit-based awards covering half-tuition or greater with 3.0 undergraduate GPA or higher and a chapter recommendation provide 100% tuition scholarships for PT alumni who have an undergraduate GPA of 3.5 and above and a chapter recommendation.

Perkins School of Theology

  • Preferred consideration and early decision for admission to all PT alumni with at least a 3.0 cumulative GPA, and who have completed all the prerequisites for admission to SMU, including submission of materials by October 15.
  • Early consideration for scholarships and other forms of financial aid. Decisions will be communicated by December 1st, including pertinent information about a possible scholarship award, if any.

Wesley Theological Seminary

  • Early admissions decisions for all PT alumni (applications are due November 1 for the following fall entry; decisions will be made by December 15).
  • Consideration for special merit-based awards covering half-tuition or greater with 3.0 undergraduate GPA or higher and a PT chapter recommendation; provide 100% tuition scholarships for PT alumni who have an undergraduate GPA of 3.5 and above and a PT chapter recommendation.
  • Early consideration for Community Engagement Fellows positions (upon receipt of additional CEF essay), which includes an additional stipend of $15,000 and intracurricular entrepreneurial opportunities.
