Ashley Bui, MD served as a Project Transformation North Texas summer intern in 2008 and a reading coordinator for the pilot reading program in 2009. Her experiences with Project Transformation helped solidify her career trajectory as she went on to become a board-certified pediatric oncologist at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center and Children’s Health, now pursuing further specialization for one year in hospice and palliative medicine at Phoenix Children’s Hospital. With years of experience in clinical care, service to the community, and advocacy, she brings a compassionate, family-centered perspective to her work.
Rev. Pavielle Jenkins is an ordained deacon in the United Methodist Church and serves as the Senior Associate Pastor at First United Methodist Church Richardson. She holds a Master of Divinity and a Master of Arts in Dispute Resolution and Conflict Management from Southern Methodist University. With deep commitments to education, young people, underserved communities, and the future of the Church, Pavielle brings experience in student ministry, missions, community engagement, and leadership development. Pavielle also worked at SMU leading diversity initiatives in the Office of Undergraduate Admission and developed a four year student retention program for underrepresented students in STEM through the Office of the Provost. She has proudly supported Project Transformation throughout much of her nearly 22-year tenure at FUMCR as an advocate and volunteer.
Ben Scroggins currently works as the Head of Workplace Innovation at PepsiCo Global Real Estate, in a contractor-role with Cresa Boston. His background includes change management, training and employee development in the fields of elementary education, pediatric healthcare, and youth sports. Ben grew up in Allen, Texas and has attended Suncreek UMC for over twenty years, serving in paid and volunteer ministry roles primarily with children and youth. While studying at the University of Missouri, Ben served as a Project Transformation AmeriCorps member at PT North Texas in the summer of 2012. After graduating, he returned to North Texas to continue his career as a manager and corporate trainer for ASI Gymnastics, guiding their expansion into new cities across Texas. Ben also taught for 5 years at Burks Elementary, wrote curriculum and trained teachers in McKinney ISD. After returning to the private sector at PepsiCo, Ben has primarily focused his efforts in the areas of employee enablement, app development, and the evaluation, documentation and implementation of new technologies in the workplace.
