Service Terms

Project Transformation’s service terms are for young adults who have completed at least their freshman year of college and are interested in devoting a summer or year of their lives to be in service to others. The program is designed to offer young adults a hands-on opportunity to build lasting relationships with underserved children and youth, live in intentional community, experience cultural and socio-economic diversity, and explore various careers in service or ministry. PT Corps Members become AmeriCorps members during their service and earn a living stipend plus an education award for their service. As a United Methodist affiliated organization, PT also offers PT Corps Members opportunities to grow in their faith journey and discern their calling during their service. To clearly separate these activities from the AmeriCorps-funded program, PT Corps Members have the option of participating in these faith-based components.

FULL-TIME POSITIONS Reading Coordinator or Site Coordinator: (must have completed one year of college)

• September 1, 2023-August 2, 2024
• Approximately 40 hours per week
• $17,600.00 living stipend for one year of service
• $6,895.00 education voucher (can be applied towards past loans or future education)
• Health Insurance
• Low-cost housing available

REDUCED FULL-TIME POSITIONS Reading Coordinator or Site Coordinator: (must have completed one year of college)

• September 1, 2023-May 3, 2024
• Approximately 40 hours per week
• $11,500.00 living stipend for one year of service
• $4,826.50 education voucher (can be applied towards past loans or future education)
• Low-cost housing available

PART-TIME POSITIONS:

• September 1, 2023 -August 2, 2024
• 2:30 PM to 6:30 PM Mon thru Thurs
• Afternoon training on Fridays
• Serve full-time hours in the summer
• $8,800.00 living stipend
• $3,447.50 education voucher
• Low-cost housing potentially available

• Housing is provided as young adults live in community at SMU in Dallas
